Pittsfield Township's water distribution system is a closed system and provides no connections to the neighboring communities. Over the last 12 to 18 months we have heard much concern over the quality of drinking water in Pittsfield Township and whether or not it is safe to drink. YCUA publishes a yearly Drinking Water Quality Report about the water being delivered. Pittsfield Charter Township purchases water from Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority (YCUA).
